Kappa Iota Zeta Chapter

Welcome and thank you for visiting the official website of the “Kaptivating” Kappa Iota Zeta chapter.  We are a premier chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and you will often find our members out supporting our community and demonstrating our principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.  Explore our website to learn more about who we are and the service that we provide to the City of East Point, Ga and the surrounding Atlanta, Ga. area.

Welcome to the Kaptivating Kappa Iota Zeta Chapter!

This is an exciting time for us as we are on the road to becoming the number ONE service Chapter in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.  We will achieve number ONE, by focusing on our founding principles through inclusion, diversity, and unity.

On September 15, 2020, we will celebrate 40 years of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood within our beloved sorority.  Today, over two-hundred women stand ready to build on the foundation established by the vision and determination of Lacy Alford, Carolyn Austin, Leila Coleman, Haroldine Crowder, Thelma Duncan Lester, Cornelia Glass, Ola Hill, Marynette Lovejoy, Jacqueline Terry, Bettye Shelling and Gwendolyn Wyatt, our eleven charter members.  We are excited to celebrate this significant milestone and publish our 40th Anniversary history book entitled “Herstory”.

During these unprecedented times of COVID-19 and social distancing, we remain committed to serving our community.  Our innovative ideas and advanced technologies allow us to serve our community and stay connected.

Thank you for visiting the Kaptivating Ladies of Kappa Iota Zeta Chapter.  We are empowered by Sisterhood, driven by Inclusion, Diversity, and Unity.  Feel free to visit our website, and stay connected.

When you're having a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better?
When having a bad day, I start with prayer and meditation. I have found many avenues to explore.
* Do something special for someone else
* Exercise or go for a walk
* Talk to a positive inspirational friend
* Try a new recipe
* Go to the mall for retail therapy
* Meet a friend for lunch or dinner
* Watch a favorite old or new movie
* Have a glass of my favorite beverage while listening to music
* Refrain from watching the news
